Nearly five years ago, back in February 2021, the WriteSPACE emerged like a flaming phoenix from the depths of the pandemic: an innovative virtual community and resource treasury dedicated to advancing the Social, Physical, Aesthetic, Creative, Emotional dimensions of academic and professional writing. Foundering writers in search of support found research-based resources to help them flourish. Disaffected writers found inspiration and a new impetus to write. Isolated writers found community, connection, and craft-focused feedback — and developed lasting friendships along the way.
Now, as we soar towards our fifth birthday in early 2026, the WriteSPACE is sprouting some colorful new feathers. We’re expanding the benefits of our standard membership plan, reconfiguring our premium WS Studio tier to make it more affordable, and retiring our long-running weekly Live Writing Studio, which, based on feedback from our members, we plan to replace with a series of themed studio events throughout the year: Writing Masterclasses, Writing Clinics, and Community Writing sessions.
For a preview of what’s coming up WriteSPACE in 2026 — plus a generous discount offer! — we warmly invite you to join founder Helen Sword and events manager Amy Lewis for our final Special Event of 2025, The WriteSPACE in 2026. The information session in the first hour is free to all who register; in the second hour, we’ll host a valedictory Live Writing Studio party for WriteSPACE and WS Studio members. Please come help us to celebrate the end of an era and the start of an exciting new one!
